These pairings will also result in pregnancy more often, putting the rhino population even more in jeopardy. The Kerasi are fertile with both the white and black rhinoceroses, linking the two distinct species in a decidedly unnatural way. Kerasi have two breeds: metis and faru (the rhinoceros form). They retain more information than they let anyone outside their herds suspect. As such, the average Kerasi is short-tempered and brutish, but not without animalistic cunning. Since the Kerasi have only an animal counterpart, many of the higher brain activities are quite new for them. While all Kerasi have only a minimal connection to the Umbra, this actually aids them to conceal their Wyrmish origin. Kerasi heal at the same rate as Garou, but do not share their vulnerability to silver. Their thoughts turn slowly, but each new day may be the one when the Kerasi rebel from their corporate masters and choose their own destiny. Some start to wonder why they take orders from Pentex. The Kerasi have begun to breed without supervision and experience an independence they never had in the laboratories. Most of these involve attacks against human communities, as well as raids against the holds of the African Fera, which are then secured by First Teams. Pentex directs the herds of Kerasi to wreak havoc in the African wilderness. Neuro-Dynamic Laboratories focuses on improving the Kerasi design, hoping to create the first stable Mockery Breed within them, much to the displeasure of other Mockeries like the Yeren. The Kerasi are one of the youngest Breeds, the first having been active only a short period of time after the fall of Black Tooth. T4 converting to T3 hormone occurs when one iodine atom is removed from T4 to result in T3 hormone. T3 hormone is active thyroid hormone that every cell of the body is dependent upon to function. T4 that travels througout the rest of the body must be converted to T3 hormone at the cellular level. A negative feedback loop is created that results in a stable release of TSH from the pituitary and T4 from the thyroid gland. The pituitary gland responds to levels of T4 in the blood by lowering TSH that is secreted, but not too much. T4 hormone travels from the thyroid gland back to the pituitary gland as well as throughout the whole body. T4 and T3 are secreted in an 11:1 ratio ( Snyder, 2012) from the thyroid gland in humans. It also secretes some T3 (triiodothyronine) hormone. TSH docks with receptors on the thyroid gland, triggering the gland to secrete T4 (thyroxine) hormone. It's released into the blood stream where it travels to the thyroid gland. TSH (thyroid stimulating hormone) is secreted from the pituitary gland. I'll start by reviewing in very simple terms the thyroid hormone cascade. The other labs that are pertinent to thyroid hormone function are CBC, ferritin, zinc, copper and vitamin D. There are others but these are values that assess direct thyroid hormone status. The six most important labs to obtain when assessing thyroid function, regardless of the age of the patient, are: Ultimately, a well-studied physician should have their own reference ranges that they use when evaluating labs. This has resulted in sometimes huge variations in reference ranges used by different labs. Unfortunately, there are no national or international standards for reference ranges that labs use. This is an important topic as thyroid hormone is crucial for brain and global development of infants and children. This question comes up a lot online: "What are the optimal reference ranges for thyroid hormone labs in children?" I hope this post serves to help parents and physicians understand optimal reference ranges for children versus reference ranges reported on actual lab results. Hopefully the Windows Live Team will read this feedback and act on it. Other than those minor issues, this is an awesome product considering it is still in Beta. What if I wanted to tag pictures of a fishing trip and the only reference point is a coordinate? They should fix this as well. I also tried entering GPS Coordinates and that too did not work. So if Photo Gallery can’t find the location it still wont let you tag it, that should be changed. I tried to geotag some pictures I have of the South Pole and it never came up on the results page, I even tried adding it without the location being found and it still didn’t let me add it (see below). I found that hitting the Enter key usually brought up a list of possible matches to choose from. Imagine that instead of opening an album by date or trip you can pull up a map of all your pictures and browse them by location, wouldn’t that be cool? Although you will not be able to view the pictures on a map yet, there’s indication from Microsoft that it could happen, “…it will enable mapping of all these photos on Bing Maps or Windows Live. Geotagging allows you to assign a GPS coordinate to an image, which makes browsing images a whole lot of fun. Among a plethora of new features that have made their way into this amazing application is one of my favorites, the ability to geotag images. This may be of interest to you Ian.If you still think that Picasa dominates the photo management scene, you have yet to give the latest version of Windows Live Photo Gallery a spin. We contributed to the fan experience by offering a supplement to network television, and the viewer experience was clean. Our three-camera live show, Packer Transplants, streams from Stillmank Brewery. We started with context gained from our NFL Draft coverage this year, where we incorporated both live blog and video, by streaming for 3 days from our studio with the live blog on the left side and a video player on the right side of our homepage. However, CoverItLive does not have live video capability. Since we started Cheesehead TV in 2007, we’ve covered training camp using the CoverItLive live blog platform, which enables fans all over the world to interact with each other and see updates in real time with photos and text. As a live broadcast producer, the notion of wireless streaming via multiple wireless devices sounded daunting (and just a little bit crazy), but I knew there had to be multiple use cases where this technology could have a big impact, and in some instances, even make it feasible to produce a show that would’ve been impossible otherwise. I was intrigued by the potential to switch a show from an iPad. (Stillmank is a local Green Bay brewery that makes Wisco Disco, the first microbrew ever sold at Lambeau Field during games.) With an invitation-only audience of Packers superfans, the show’s success served as our jumping-off point to push the envelope on the rest of our training camp coverage.īack in May, I downloaded Teradek’s Live:Air. On the first day of Packers training camp in July, we webcast an exclusive show, live from Stillmank Brewery, our show’s beer sponsor. Accordingly, Cheesehead TV kicked off the season by going big from the very beginning. Īfter losing the NFC Championship by the thinnest of margins and by keeping the roster mostly intact, expectations for the Packers this season are high. We have been on Livestream for more than 6 years and love it-especially the flagship product, Livestream Studio. We stream multiple live webcasts every week, including our flagship show Packer Transplants (or, “Two Guys Who Think They Know Something about Football”) on our Cheesehead TV enterprise account. As the cofounder of, an independent website devoted to the Green Bay Packers, I’m always looking for innovative ways to engage the fanbase. A key part of Party Pack games is to streamline the ability for players to get into games, and according to Jackbox Games' CEO Mike Bilder, they spent about a year working on building their servers and software to provide a flexible architecture for the player-side mobile and web interface to expand for any of the games, and to avoid having players download any type of app to get started. Subsequent Jackbox Party Packs have included improvements of existing games, support for more players including the addition of audience participation through the same connectivity approach, better support for content management for streams (as to remove offensive terms in responses, for example), and the ability to create custom games. The company saw this as a new development model that allowed them to provide new packs on an annual basis, play around with different game formats, and provide higher value to consumers over one-off games. This formed the basis of the Jackbox Party Pack, with the first pack released in 2014 including updated versions of You Don't Know Jack, Fibbage, a reworked version of Lie Swatter for its multiplayer approach, and two new games. With the success of Fibbage, Jackbox Games decided that they could offer these games in packs, reworking older games to use the streaming capabilities and adding in new games. Other players would participate by using a web browser or mobile device to connect to the streaming player's game through Jackbox's servers and which to provide their answers. One key game that followed this was its 2014 game Fibbage, which allows up to eight simultaneous players, one of whom can use live streaming or play with people in the same room. Īmong its one-off games including Lie Swatter, Clone Booth, and Word Puttz, generally designed as single player games or played asynchronously with other players. This last version was a critical success, and led the studio to focus on developing similar games, rebranding the studio by 2013 as Jackbox Games. īy 2008, Jellyvision, now named The Jellyvision Lab, saw that mobile gaming was booming, so it created a small subsidiary, Jellyvision Games, to rework You Don't Know Jack, first for consoles in its 2011 version, then for mobile and Facebook users with the now-defunct 2012 iteration. The company focused on developing business solution software, specifically offering software to its clients to help assist their customers for complex forms or other types of support. Though the series had been successful in the late 1990s, Jellyvision had not been able to make the transition easily from computer to home console games, and by 2001, all but six employees of Jellyvision had been laid off. Jellyvision had been well-established for its You Don't Know Jack series of "irreverent trivia" games. Each installment contains five games that are designed to be played in groups of varying sizes, including in conjunction with streaming services like Twitch which provide means for audiences to participate.
